Billing, Insurance & Payment
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance company or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have insurance benefits for outpatient mental health?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary health care physician?
When insurance applies, I will submit claims directly to your carrier. Please remember that as the insured, you are ultimately responsible for determining what services are covered and to what degree. Co-payment, payment towards your deductible or payment in full is expected at the time of service.
Payment can be made with check, cash, or credit card. There is an additional 3% fee for all credit card transactions.
Please call for specific fees for services.
I am a preferred provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum/United Behavioral Health and First Choice Health. In addition many insurance carriers provide out-of-network coverage in Alaska.
If you need to cancel or change an existing appointment you may do so anytime via the client portal 48 hours in advance. You may also call or email to notify me of changes. There is a fee for missed appointments and late cancellations when a 48 hours notice is not provided. Please note that insurance companies do not provide reimbursement for missed appointments.
In the event that the Anchorage School District faces an unplanned school closure, call me directly to confirm your appointment. In this event there will be no charge for late cancellation.
